MobyGratis.com is a non-profit project by musician Moby, offering over 500 original tracks — ambient, cinematic, post-rock, electronic — for free use in non-commercial projects such as:

Hi, and welcome to mobygratis.com. I started MobyGratis as a way to give free music to independent filmmakers, students, and nonprofits — to support creativity without barriers. Now we’re relaunching the site with 500 new tracks, and not just that — I’m also offering multitracks, so you can download a stereo WAV, an MP3, or even the stems with BPM metadata. You can remix, edit, add to them, score choreography, use it in films or social media — do whatever you want. The idea is complete creative freedom. Almost all the music is instrumental, deliberately neutral, so you can shape it to your vision. And yes — it’s actually free. No trial, no bait-and-switch. I don’t want to restrict anyone. If you wonder “Can I use it for X?” — the answer is almost always: yes. I’m not here to police you. I want people to be creative, that’s it. There’s a search tool on the site where you can filter by genre, mood, or BPM (though genre and mood are just my interpretation — feel free to disagree). There’s also a detailed FAQ — please check it if you have questions. And if you feel inspired, we’ve listed some charities I personally support — you can donate, or not, it’s up to you.
